Checking the level and adding fluid to the washer reservoir (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

            0

You will need: in summer - a concentrate of a special liquid for the washer reservoir, diluted with clean water; in winter - antifreeze.

Helpful Hints: Freezing of the fluid in the washer reservoir will destroy it. Use antifreeze from well-known companies that does not contain methanol, which is hazardous to health.

When the ambient temperature rises, do not dilute the antifreeze to save money. In addition to increasing the freezing point of the diluted liquid, its cleaning properties are sharply reduced.

With the first frosts, there is a huge demand for non-freezing windshield washer fluid. Some unscrupulous sellers, taking advantage of this, sell low-quality fluids, so it is better to buy the fluid in advance. It is also useful to conduct a simple test. Pour some liquid into a plastic cup and carefully place it in the freezer of the refrigerator for several hours. If the liquid has frozen or ice crystals have appeared in it, then the liquid is not suitable for use in the winter in your car's windshield washer.

Warnings: The manufacturer does not recommend using regular water to fill the washer reservoir.

The filler neck of the washer reservoir is located in the engine compartment (in its front part) next to the left headlight.

3. If the washer jet is clogged, clean it with a sewing needle. You can also use it to adjust the direction of the washer fluid stream.

Warning: Use only unhardened needles or pins to clean and adjust the jet. A broken tip of a hardened needle cannot be removed from the jet hole.
