Remove the left front fender liner (see Removal mudguards and front wheel arch liners)
We mark the position of the lock relative to the radiator frame.
Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the three bolts securing the hood lock to the radiator frame.
We remove the end of the lock drive cable sheath from the holder on the lock body and the end of the cable from the groove of the lock lever.
We remove the hood lock.
Remove the hood lock drive handle (see Removal the instrument panel) and remove it from under the instrument panel.
We bring the cable out through the slot at the base of the handle.
Disconnect the hood lock drive cable tip from the handle lever and remove the handle.
Using pliers to squeeze the tail of the cable sheath holder, we remove the holder from the hole in the left radiator frame pillar
Similarly, we remove the cable sheath holder from the hole in the upper cross member of the radiator frame.
We pull the cable into the passenger compartment.
We install the cable and the lock in the reverse order.
Before installation…
…we recommend applying an anaerobic thread lock to the threaded portion of the hood lock mounting bolts to prevent them from loosening spontaneously.
