2. Remove the two hood lock mounting bolts...
3. ... move the lock away from the radiator frame and, squeezing the tabs, remove the end of the cable sheath from the hole in the lock housing.
4. Remove the cable end from the groove of the hood lock lever and remove the lock.
5. Install the hood lock in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the hood lock, lubricate its locking mechanism with consistent grease (for example, lithol).
6. If after installation the lock does not lock clearly or is difficult to unlock, adjust its position. Loosen the bolts that secure the lock and move it within the oval holes of the housing until the lock works clearly.
