1. Remove the front bumper (see "Removal and installation the front bumper").
2. Remove the hood lock (see, "Removal, installation and adjustment of the hood lock").
3. Remove the hood release cable from the holders on the radiator frame.
4. Remove the lower decorative panel of the instrument panel (see "Removal and installation the lower decorative panel of the instrument panel").
5. Remove the end of the cable sheath from the holder on the base of the hood lock actuator lever.
6. Disconnect the cable end from the lever.
7. Press the two latches on the base of the hood lock actuator lever.
NOTE: This is how the latches are located on the base of the hood latch.
8. Remove the hood lock drive lever by sliding it down the guides.
9. Remove the air intake box grille (see "Removal and installation the air intake box grille").
10. Remove the hood lock drive cable by pulling it into the engine compartment through the hole in the front shield.
11. Install the hood lock drive components in the reverse order of removal.
