The air intake box grille is removed if it is damaged or to gain access to the windshield wiper, as well as when replacing the windshield.
1. Open the hood and place it on the support.
2. Remove the windshield wiper arms from the wiper linkage shafts (see "Replacing windshield wiper arms").
3. Using a screwdriver, push out the core of the air intake box grille fastening lock...
4. ...and remove the retainer.
5. Similarly, remove the second air intake box grille retainer.
NOTE: This is how the air intake box grille retainers are located.
6. Pry up the edge of the air intake box grille mounting screw plug...
7. ...and remove the plug.
8. Remove the screw securing the air intake box grille.
9. Remove the side inserts of the upper grille seal.
10. Overcoming the resistance of the clamps, remove the side seals of the grille from the gaps between the windshield and the front fenders...
11. ...then remove the air intake box grille.
12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
