The lock is driven by a cable, the handle 7 of the lock is located inside the passenger compartment on the left side under the instrument panel.
Raise the hood and secure it with the stop in the open position.
Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
Remove the hood trim and remove the wiring harness from the cavity.
Remove the two washer jets and disconnect the feed pipe from the tee.
Disconnect the 9 bonnet lock drive rod from the 7 lever and the 11 lock drive lever.
Unscrew nuts 10 and remove the hood lock.
Turn out two buffers.
Unscrew the four bolts securing the hood hinges to the body and remove the hood.
Install the hood in the reverse order. When installing, adjust the position of the hood using the enlarged holes in the hinges.
Adjusting the hood lock. If the lock does not securely lock the hood or opens it with great effort, adjust the position of the lock.
With the hood open, loosen nuts 10 securing lock housing 2 and, using the enlarged holes for the mounting studs, move the lock to the desired position. Tighten nuts 10 and check the operation of the lock.
