Remove the wheels and brake drums. Screw the device from the kit 67.7834.9540 to the axle shaft (figure 3-58), pass the extension leg of indicator 1 through one hole in the axle shaft until it stops against the brake shield or oil deflector and secure the indicator.

Measure with an indicator, applying a force of about 49 N (5 kgf) to the axle flange in both directions along the rear axle axis. The free play should not exceed 0.7 mm.
