39 Noise is noted
1. Road noise. No action should be taken.
2. The noise emitted by the tires. Perform an inspection and pressure check (chapter 1).
3. Wear or damage to rear wheel bearings (chapter 8).
40 Vibration is noted
See possible causes of driveshaft vibration. Follow the procedures described for the propeller shaft. If vibration persists, check the rear wheel bearings by jacking up the vehicle and manually rotating the wheels. Listen for any noise from the bearings that may indicate wear. Perform removal and inspection (see chapter 8).
41 Transmission oil leak detected
1. Failure of the main gear shaft/gear seal (see chapter 8).
2. Failure of the axle shaft seals (see chapter 8).
3. Leakage through the differential housing. Tighten the bolts or replace the gasket (see chapter 8).
