2. Pry and remove the oil seal from the housing located at the end of the axle shaft (see illustration).
7.2. Remove the axle shaft seal by prying it off with a special tool
3. Apply a layer of universal grease to the surface of the new seal and insert it into the socket using a hammer and a special mandrel (see illustration), with a large diameter socket head or a piece of pipe. The oil seal cuff should be facing inward, and its metal surface should be visible from the casing located at the end of the axle shaft. When installed correctly, the seal surface should be flush with the axle housing surface.
7.3. Install the new axle shaft seal using a special mandrel; when installed correctly, the seal surface should be flush with the axle housing surface
4. Install the axle shaft (see subsection 6).
