Transfer case control unit (models with electric shift mechanism) — replacement (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

            0

1. The transfer case control unit is located on the left behind the instrument panel.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the body dashboard support bracket. Before removing the instrument panel, read its full description in chapter 11. This procedure is quite labor-intensive, and a beginner may encounter certain difficulties during its implementation. Perform the operations sufficiently to remove the lower instrument panel cover.

4. After removing the lower instrument panel cover, remove the left heater deflector.

5. Remove the transfer case control unit (the mounting bracket can be removed together with the block) and disconnect the electrical connector from it.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note: The installation procedure can be simplified by first connecting the electrical connector to the unit and installing the bracket. After this, it is necessary to install the block together with the bracket.
