Warning: Checks in the engine compartment can only be performed with the ignition off. The radiator fan may start even with the ignition off.
Warning: The ignition system uses very high voltage. Do not touch these parts.
Hood
Opening

1. Pull the release lever and return it to its original position.

2. Locate and pull up on the hood release lever under the front edge of the hood.
3. Carefully lift the hood. Two gas-filled struts support the hood in the open position.
Caution: If the engine is still hot, do not touch any parts other than the foam padding on the hood support rod handle.
The order of closing the hood
1. When closing the hood, be careful that you or other people do not have their hands or other body parts under the hood.
2. Close the hood, releasing it at a height of about 30 cm.
3. Make sure the hood is closed tightly.
Warning: Before driving, check that the hood is securely closed by pulling on the front edge of the hood.
Do not pull the hood release handle while the vehicle is moving.
Driving with the hood open is prohibited. An open hood obscures the forward view.
Driving with limited forward visibility could result in a collision, resulting in damage to your vehicle or other property damage, and may result in injury or even death.
