Folding the passenger seat
Caution: If you need to fold the seatback forward to carry long items such as skis, make sure the load does not contact the airbag.
In a collision, an inflating airbag may throw an object at a person. This may cause serious injury or even death. Secure objects at a safe distance from the area that the airbag may occupy after deployment.
Caution: Items thrown over the seatback may strike and injure an occupant during a sudden stop, turn or collision. Remove or secure all items before driving.

To fold this passenger seat, follow the steps below.
1. Lower the headrest all the way.
2. Pull the lever under the front of the seat, hold it, move the seat back as far as possible and release the lever.
3. Pull the tilt adjustment lever located on the outside of the seat up as far as it will go and tilt the seatback until it folds down.
To raise the passenger seat, follow these steps:.
1. Raise the seat back and return it to its original position.
2. Snap the backrest into place by pressing down on the top of the backrest.
3. Pull the backrest forward to check that it is securely fastened.
Caution: If the seatback is not locked, it may move forward in the event of a sudden stop or collision. This may cause injury to the occupant of the seat. Always check the locking of the seatback by trying to move it forward and backward.
