The silent block of the lever can be replaced without dismantling the beam.
But to press out and press in the silent block on the car, special tools will be required.
Therefore, it is more convenient to perform these operations using universal mandrels on a removed beam.
Remove the rear suspension beam (see Removal the rear suspension beam).
To press out the silent block, we secure the beam in a vice and place a stop under the lever eye.

With a mandrel of the appropriate size…

…we press the silent block to the outer side of the lever.
To make pressing out easier, you can loosen the tension on the outer ring of the silent block in the lever eye.
For this…

…we use a hacksaw to cut the outer ring of the silent block, trying not to damage the seating surface of the lever.
You can make it easier to press out the silent block by heating the lever eye to a temperature of 70°–90°C.
For example, by splashing boiling water on it from a kettle.
The outer layer of metal will "spread out" and the silent block will come out more easily.
Before pressing, apply a thin layer of plastic grease to the mounting surfaces of the new silent block and the lever eye.
We press the silent block of the beam lever into the lever eye using a mandrel of the appropriate size.

When pressing in, we orient the silent block in this way..

…so that the shaped protrusions on the outer side of the flange are positioned relative to the lever eye as shown in the photograph.
