We hang up and remove the rear wheel.
Remove the brake drum assembly with bearings (see Replacing the brake pads of the rear wheels).
Do not press the brake pedal after removing the brake drum, as the pistons may come out of the wheel cylinder completely.

We remove the inner ring of the outer bearing with the separator and rollers.

From the inside of the brake drum, we pry the seal with a screwdriver..

…and we take it off.

We remove the inner ring with the separator and inner bearing rollers from the brake drum.
We inspect the bearings.
If the inner or outer rings, rollers are damaged, or the separators are worn, we replace the bearings.
For this…

…we strike the end face of the outer ring of the bearing using a punch…

…in places where there are two recesses in the drum…

…and press the ring out of the brake drum.

Using a punch, we strike the end face of the other outer bearing ring..

…and press it out of the brake drum.
We check the condition of the bearing outer ring seats in the brake drum.
We press the outer rings of the new bearings through a mandrel (a tool head or a piece of pipe of a suitable size can be used as a mandrel).
We place the grease between the bearing rings and apply it generously to the bearing rings.
We press in the seal after installing the inner ring with the separator and the inner bearing rollers.
We install the brake drum in the reverse order.
We adjust the clearance in the rear wheel bearings (see Adjusting the rear wheel bearings).
