Springs should only be replaced in pairs.

We unscrew and remove the bolt of the lower shock absorber mount to the rear suspension beam arm (see Removal the rear shock absorber).
We remove the lower end of the shock absorber from the beam bracket.
We hang up both rear wheels of the car and securely fix it on factory-made support stands.
Most often, when removing rear suspension springs, special devices are used - so-called clamps.
In this case, the spring can be removed without using clamps.
In this case, you may need an assistant.
We insert a mounting blade or a strong rod into the lower shock absorber mount bracket and, pressing the beam lever down..

…we remove the spring together with the upper rubber gasket.
When performing this operation, it is necessary to monitor the tension of the rear brake hose.
If the hose is too tight when trying to remove the spring, it is necessary to disconnect its lower end from the brake pipe and the beam bracket (see Replacing the rear wheel brake hose).

We remove the lower rubber gasket from the beam bracket.
We remove the upper gasket from the spring.

A plastic cover is glued to the second turn from the bottom.
If the gaskets are damaged, replace them with new ones.
Before installing the spring, install the upper gasket on it.
Then, to prevent the top gasket from shifting when installing the spring, we attach it to the spring with tape or insulating tape.
We install the lower gasket.
To make installation of the spring easier, wet the lower gasket with a soap solution.
By pressing the beam lever down, we place the upper end of the spring with the gasket on the protrusion of the body bracket.
We carry out further assembly of the rear suspension in the reverse order.
