
NOTE: The rear suspension hub is non-separable. If its bearing fails, the hub is replaced as an assembly.

1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and install the anti-rollback stops ("shoes") under the wheels. Loosen the wheel mounting nuts on the side of the hub to be removed.
NOTE: This subsection describes the replacement of the left rear hub, the right hub is replaced in the same way.
2. Jack up the rear of the car and place it on a support. Remove the wheel and lower the parking brake lever all the way down (the car is released).

3. Remove the rear wheel brake drum (see "Removing and installing the brake drum", p. 205).

4. Remove the four bolts securing the hub to the knuckle...

5. ...and remove the hub while holding the brake mechanism.
6. Install the hub in the reverse order of removal.
