Attention! Cylinders are changed only in pairs per axle, changing them separately is prohibited. Wheel cylinder repair kits are supplied as spare parts.
1. Remove the drums and shoes.
2. Unscrew the hydraulic drive tube fitting and disconnect the tube.
3. Unscrew the two bolts securing the wheel cylinder to the brake shield.
4. Remove the cylinder.
5. Plug the brake line pipe and the hole in the cylinder to prevent loss of brake fluid and entry of dirt.
6. Remove the rubber dust boots from the cylinder and remove both pistons, piston seals and spring (see photo).

8. Check the condition of the cylinder surface. If severe damage is found, (scratches, corrosion and or marks) replace the cylinder. If the damage is minor, the cylinder can be honed, although the manufacturer recommends replacing the cylinder if it is damaged in any way.
9. If the cylinder is in satisfactory condition, wash the parts with alcohol or brake fluid. Unscrew the air bleeder, dry and blow out the cylinder channels. Lubricate the new seals with brake fluid.
10. Install the cuffs on the pistons so that the edges of the cuffs are facing the inside of the cylinder. Assemble the cylinder.
11. Install the cylinder in the reverse order of removal, tighten the bolts by hand. Screw in the nipple and finally tighten the mounting bolts. Tighten the nipple and install the shoes and drum.
12. Remove air from the hydraulic drive.
13. Check the operation of the brakes before leaving.
