1. The brake booster does not require any special maintenance, other than periodic inspection of the vacuum hoses and housing.

2. Disassembly of the unit and its repair are performed in a car service center. However, in case of failure, the vacuum booster is recommended to be replaced.

3. In the engine compartment, unscrew the nuts securing the master cylinder to the brake booster, and carefully move the master cylinder together with the valve bracket and control module away from the booster to a distance sufficient to unscrew the nuts securing the booster. Do not allow excessive deformation of the brake line tubes.

4. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum booster.

5. While working inside the vehicle, disconnect the push rod from the top of the brake pedal.

6. Unscrew the 4 nuts securing the brake booster to the engine compartment bulkhead (see photo).

6. Unscrew the 4 nuts securing the brake booster to the engine compartment bulkhead (see photo).

7. Carefully remove the brake booster from the engine compartment bulkhead.

8. Install the vacuum booster in place and tighten the mounting nuts. Attach the rod to the brake pedal.

9. Install the master cylinder, connect the vacuum hose.

10. Check the operation of the brakes before leaving.
