USEFUL TIP: When removing the rear suspension beam, you must have assistants who will hold and lower the rear suspension beam.
1. Rear suspension beam (figure 7.6) it is more convenient to remove it on a lift. If it is not possible to install the car on a lift, lift the rear of the car by installing a jack under the beam. Then install supports under the jack mounting sockets on the car body.

2. Remove the rear wheels.

3. Remove the wheel speed sensor wire from the holder on the body.

4. Unscrew the nut securing the brake pipe of the working cylinder...

5. ...and disconnect the left brake hose from the bracket. Plug the hole in the hose tip to prevent brake fluid from leaking.
6. Similarly, disconnect and plug the right brake hose.

7. In the rear wheel arch, unscrew the two nuts of the protective cover...

8. ...and remove the wheel speed sensor harness electrical connector cover.

9. Squeeze the retainer and disconnect the sensor connector.

10. Disconnect the sensor connector from the holder on the body.
11. Similarly, disconnect the sensor block on the other side.

12. Remove the bolt securing the parking brake cable housing holder to the rear suspension arm bracket.

13. Slide the cable end into the coupling sleeve...

14. ...and disconnect the cable.
15. Similarly, disconnect the second cable and move it to the side.

16. Place a support under the appropriate rear axle arm and lower the vehicle, lightly loading the suspension. This operation is not required when working on an inspection pit.

17. Remove the lower shock absorber mounting bolt...

18. ...and remove it from the shock absorber eye.

19. Gently lower the lever, remove the rear suspension spring, as well as its upper and lower pads (see "Replacing the rear suspension spring").
20. Similarly, disconnect the shock absorber and remove the spring from the other side.

21. Remove two bolts on each side securing the rear suspension arm hinges to the body...

22. ...and remove the beam assembly with the rear wheel brake mechanisms.
23. If necessary, remove the hubs from the beam (see "Replacing the rear wheel hub") and rear wheel brakes (see "Rear wheel brakes").
24. Install the rear suspension beam in the reverse order of removal. Finally tighten the lower shock absorber eye bolts with the vehicle on the ground.
25. After installing the beam, bleed the brake system (see "Bleeding the hydraulic brake system") and adjust the parking brake if necessary (see "Adjusting the parking brake drive").
