We hang up the rear wheel.

Using a beard, we move the protective cap and remove it.

Using pliers, straighten the ends of the cotter pin and remove it from the hole in the journal and the grooves of the crown nut.

Using a 24 mm head, tighten the bearing nut to a torque of 25 N·m, while simultaneously rocking the wheel several times by hand in both directions to adjust the bearings.
We loosen the nut to a position in which…

...you can use a screwdriver to move the thrust washer in the radial direction. The blade of the screwdriver should not rest on anything.
Install a new cotter pin and bend its ends. If the slot of the crown nut after tightening does not coincide with one of the two mutually perpendicular holes in the journal, then turn the nut until its nearest slot aligns with the hole in the journal and insert the cotter pin. If the washer is locked, remove the cotter pin and loosen the nut until the locking elements align. Install the protective cap in place. Before installing the protective cap, put plastic grease in it.
