Removal the fuel pressure regulator (Chevrolet Lanos T150)

We remove the fuel pressure regulator to replace the failed sealing ring or the regulator itself.

Considering that the screws that secure the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel rail are installed with thread sealant and access to them is difficult, it is better to dismantle the pressure regulator after first removing the fuel rail (see Removal the fuel rail and injectors).

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the regulator to the fuel rail..

…and remove the regulator.

Remove the fuel pressure regulator sealing ring.


Remove the fuel pressure regulator sealing ring.



To remove the drain line tube tip retainer, pry it up with a flat-head screwdriver…

…and remove it from the pipe.

We install the fuel pressure regulator in the reverse order, having first applied a thin layer of engine oil to the new sealing ring.



Before screwing in the regulator mounting screws, apply anaerobic thread locker THREADLOCKER BLUE…
