Removal
1. Disconnect the cable from the latch assembly by disengaging the hood release mechanism retainer (see illustration).
10.1. Unhook the cable from the lock by disconnecting the lock
2. Attach a piece of thin wire to the end of the cable and remove all cable clamps.
3. Remove the hood release lever from the passenger compartment (see illustration).
10.3. Unscrew the two bolts securing the hood release lever (indicated by arrows)
4. Pull the cable and its sleeve out from the passenger compartment.
Installation
5. Remember to install the bushing on the new cable, attach a piece of twine or wire to it and pull the cable into the engine compartment.
6. Connect the cable and clamp it in the clamp.
7. Make sure that the bushing is back in place and install the hood release lever.
