Removal and installation the front door (Chevrolet Lumina 1)

1. If the door is equipped with an electric drive (windows and central locking) (see note at the beginning of this chapter), disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the door panel (see section 14). On doors equipped with an electric drive (window lifter), disconnect the connectors and remove the wiring harness from the door.

3. Open the door all the way and prop it open.

4. Trace the door hinges to make assembly easier (see illustration).



5. Have an assistant hold the door while you unscrew the hinge bolts and remove it.

6. The door is installed in reverse order. Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque specified in technical data at the beginning of the chapter.
