Relieving pressure in the fuel system (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

            0

Warning: See warning in subsection 1.

Note: After relieving the pressure, it is recommended to wrap the disconnectable fuel line coupling with a wet cloth to absorb any fuel remaining in the system.

1. Before performing work involving impact on fuel system components, it is necessary to relieve fuel pressure to minimize the risk of fire and personal injury.

2. Remove the fuel tank cap - this will equalize the tank pressure with atmospheric pressure.

3. Remove the fuel pump relay located in the block located in the engine compartment (see illustration 3.3).

4. Start the engine and wait until it stalls. After this, turn on the starter so that the crankshaft turns for 5-10 seconds.

5. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

6. Wrap the disconnected coupling with a cloth napkin designed to absorb any fuel remaining in the system after releasing the pressure.
