Air conditioner power module (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the lower glove box panel cover. See section 9E, "Instruments/Driver Information System".

3. Disconnect the resistor electrical connector.

4. Remove the screws from the resistor.

5. Remove the resistor from the air conditioner unit by carefully pulling the resistor downwards.

5. Remove the resistor from the air conditioner unit by carefully pulling the resistor downwards.


Installation procedure



1. Install the new resistor into the heater/air distributor assembly and tighten the screws.

Tighten

Tighten the fan resistor screws to 6 Nm (53 lbs.in).

2. Connect the resistor electrical connector.

3. Connect the negative battery cable.

4. Make sure the fan is functioning properly.

5. Install the glove box panel lower cover. See section 9E, "Instruments/Driver Information System".
