Permanent all-wheel drive system (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

If the vehicle is equipped with an on-demand all-wheel drive system, this system operates without any action from the driver. If the front drive wheels begin to slip, the rear wheels are automatically supplied with power as needed. Under heavy load, a slight noise may be heard in the clutch system, but this is normal.

When the all-wheel drive system is temporarily disabled, the all-wheel drive system malfunction indicator starts flashing . If the indicator lights up briefly and then goes out again, the system is working properly and there are no faults. However, if the indicator flashes constantly, you should contact a car service center as soon as possible to fix the fault.

When this indicator lights up, it indicates that there is a fault in the all-wheel drive system. In this situation, the car must be serviced at a car service center.
