To access the Top-Tether mounts, follow these steps:
1. Remove any objects located near the top-Tether mount. Remove the trunk lid.
2. Attach the clip on the child seat harness to the top tether anchor, avoiding twisting of the harness.
If a double tether belt is used, the belt must be wrapped around the headrest when securing the child seat to a seat equipped with an adjustable headrest.
If a single tether strap is used, when securing the child seat to a seat equipped with an adjustable headrest, the headrest must be raised and the tether strap must be threaded between the headrest posts.
3. Tighten the child seat belt according to the instructions included with the child seat.
4. After installation, push and pull the child seat to ensure it is securely fastened.
Warning: Make sure the clip on the child seat harness is securely attached to the Top-tether anchor. If the clip is not installed correctly, the anchorage at this point will not work.
