Safety rules for repair and maintenance of air conditioning systems (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

            0

1. The refrigerant is a chemical compound that requires careful handling to avoid causing harm to health.

2. It is necessary to work in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling refrigerant vapors.

3. When performing work related to depressurizing the air conditioning system, it is necessary to always wear safety glasses and wrap fittings, valves and connections in a clean cloth.

4. It is prohibited to carry out welding work on the vehicle near air conditioning system units and pipelines.

5. Protect metal sections of pipelines from dents and bends. Any narrowing of the flow section of the pipeline leads to a decrease in the system's performance.

6. It is prohibited to bend flexible pipeline connections (hoses) with a radius less than four diameters of the flexible connection.

7. Do not place hoses close to the exhaust manifold.

8. Inspect hoses regularly for cracks and abrasions.

9. Before disconnecting the air conditioning system pipes, it is necessary to remove all refrigerant from it.

10. Loosen the threaded connections of the system components slowly. Keep your face and hands away from the disconnection point to avoid injury if there is residual liquid refrigerant in the system.

11. If pressure is detected in the system when disconnecting the pipes, remove the refrigerant from it as described in subsection "Removal refrigerant from the air conditioning system".

12. Immediately after disconnecting any section of the system, close the openings with caps or tape. This will prevent moisture and dirt from entering the system, which can cause failure of the pump part of the compressor.
