Warning: There is an identification color mark on the protrusion on the end surface of the regulator body (brown, orange, blue, black). The color of the mark indicates the regulator setting for specific operating pressure values. For replacement, purchase a regulator with a mark of the same color as the regulator removed from your compressor.
1. Remove the refrigerant from the air conditioning system (see "Removal refrigerant from the air conditioning system").
2. Place the vehicle on a lift or inspection pit.
3. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

4. Thoroughly clean the end surface of the regulator and the surface of the compressor cover around the regulator from dirt.

5. Remove the regulator mounting retaining ring.
6. Use pliers to pull the protrusion on the end surface and remove the regulator from the compressor housing.

Warning: If aluminum or plastic particles are found on the filter mesh or in the holes of the regulator, then the pump part of the compressor has been destroyed. Replacing only the pressure regulator in this case will not give a positive result. It will be necessary to replace the compressor with flushing the system. This rather labor-intensive procedure can only be performed in a specialized service center using special technological equipment.
7. Install the new pressure regulator in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the retaining ring fits into the groove in the compressor housing.

Warnings: When installing a new regulator, be sure to lubricate the O-rings with A/C compressor oil.
8. Fill the air conditioning system with refrigerant at a specialized center for servicing automotive air conditioners.
