Removal and installation of the electronic engine control unit (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.


2. Press the release button...

3. ... move the wire harness connector retainer bracket away...

3. ... move the wire harness connector retainer bracket away...


4. ...and disconnect the front connector from the control unit connector.

4. ...and disconnect the front connector from the control unit connector.


5. Similarly, disconnect the connector from the rear connector of the control unit.



5. Similarly, disconnect the connector from the rear connector of the control unit.


6. Unscrew the four nuts securing the block to the bracket...

7. ...and remove the engine control unit.

7. ...and remove the engine control unit.


8. Install the engine control unit in the reverse order of removal.
