Replacement and maintenance of spark plugs (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

You will need: a 16 mm spark plug wrench, a feeler gauge for measuring gaps.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

3. Remove the high-voltage wire tips from the spark plugs.

5. ...and remove it from the spark plug well.

Note: Inspect the spark plug and assess its condition by its appearance (see "Diagnosis of engine condition by the appearance of spark plugs").

6. Use a round feeler gauge to check the gap between the spark plug electrodes. It should be 1.1 mm.

7. If the gap differs from the specified value, adjust it by bending the side electrode.



8. Similarly, unscrew and check the remaining spark plugs.

9. Install the spark plugs and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
