Pressure regulators are replaceable when the braking efficiency of the rear wheels cannot be adjusted (early or late blocking in relation to the front wheels) or leaks of brake fluid in their connection with the main brake cylinder.
We turn off the fittings of the tubes of the rear brake mechanisms from the pressure regulators.
Turn off the regulator with the "22" key and remove it.
If it is necessary to replace the pressure regulator, we change both regulators, even if only one is faulty.
New regulators must have the same markings.
This is necessary in order to avoid uneven braking.
Install pressure regulators in reverse order.
We replace sealing rings with new ones.
After installation, we pump the hydraulic brake system (see Bleeding the hydraulic drive of the brake system).
