- lift the hood of the car. Unscrew the nut and remove the clamping bolt securing the lower end of the intermediate shaft 1 (see figure 5-2) to the steering gear propeller shaft.
- from inside the car, unscrew the nuts and remove the steering gear seal;
- remove the trim covers 4 (see figure 5-2) and 10 steering shafts;
- disconnect the plug connectors of the wires of the switches, ignition switch;
- unscrew the bolts and nuts securing the steering shaft bracket and remove it together with shafts 1, 7 and steering wheel 6, pulling them into the car body.

Install the steering control in the reverse order of removal.
