Unscrew bolt 4 securing hose 5 to pump 1.
Instead of bolt 4, install a bolt with a fitting for connecting a pressure gauge.
Connect a pressure gauge with a measurement range of up to 15 MPa.
Fill the system with oil and bleed the system as described in the section "Steering gear".
Lock the bipod in the middle position by placing stops between the bipod limiting lugs and the crankcase.
By turning the steering wheel left or right, increase the pressure to the maximum and determine the pressure developed by the pump using the pressure gauge.
The maximum pressure must be at least 8.9 MPa.
If the pressure is less than 8.9 MPa, the pump must be replaced with a new one.
Warning: Be careful, the bipod stop may fly out if pressure is applied.
