Removal
1. Remove the oil pan (see section 15).
2. After unscrewing the oil pump mounting bolts, remove it from the engine (see illustration).

3. If the pump is damaged, replace it with a new one; it is not recommended to install an old pump or attempt to repair it.
4. To fill the pump, pour engine oil into the hole with the mesh filter while rotating its drive shaft.
Installation
5. Install the pump in place by turning the hexagonal shank of its drive shaft so that it enters the mating part of the pump drive.
6. After installing the oil pump mounting bolt, tighten it to the torque specified in the specifications given in this chapter.
