You will need: all the tools needed to remove the timing belt and engine oil sump, as well as wrenches «on 10», «at 12», «at 14».
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Drain the oil from the engine oil sump.
3. Remove the timing belt and tension roller.
Warning: After removing the timing belt, do not turn the camshafts and crankshafts, as the pistons can damage the valves.
4. Remove gear pulleys of camshafts.
5. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a basic roller of a belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism...
6.... and remove the roller along with its fastening bolt.
7. Turn out two bolts of the top fastening of a back cover of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism.
8. Turn out the left.
9.... and the right bolts of the lower fastening of the rear cover of the gas distribution mechanism.
10. Remove the crankshaft sprocket.
11. Remove the rear timing cover.
12. Having pressed a clamp, disconnect block of a plait of wires from the gauge of an alarm lamp of an emergency drop in pressure of oil.
13. Remove the engine oil sump (see «Replacing the oil sump seal»).
14. Turn out two bolts of fastening of an oil receiver to the oil pump and a bolt of a bracket of fastening of a tube of an oil receiver to the block of cylinders...
Note: Shown with removed engine for clarity.
15.... and remove the oil receiver.
16. The oil receiver flange is sealed with a rubber ring. Be sure to replace a heavily compressed, hardened or torn ring, otherwise the oil pump flow may drop sharply due to a leak in the connection.
Helpful Hint: Every time you remove the oil receiver, be sure to flush its mesh with gasoline or kerosene to remove varnish deposits from the oil.
17. Turn out seven bolts of fastening of the oil pump to the block of cylinders of the engine...
18.... and, prying the pump with two screwdrivers, remove it from the mounting bushings in the cylinder block.
19. If the pump housing gasket remains on the cylinder block, separate it with a sharp tool and remove.
Helpful Hints: Replace the gasket with a new one each time the oil pump is removed. Install only the original factory-made gasket, as a gasket of a different thickness will cause the pump to malfunction. Also, every time you remove the pump, replace the front crankshaft oil seal
20. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder block and pump housing from the remnants of the old gasket.
21. Before installing, fill the oil pump cavity with grease to ensure that oil is sucked from the oil sump when the engine is first started.
22. Install the pump in the reverse order of removal, and tighten the bolts of its fastening evenly crosswise to a torque of 7 Nm (0.7 kgf·m).
23. Install all previously removed parts and fill the engine with oil.
Helpful Hint: When installing a new or overhauled oil pump, we recommend replacing the oil filter.
