Helpful Hint: Under severe operating conditions in a large city or very dusty areas, change the oil and filter every 10,000 km.
You will need: motor oil, oil filter, cleaning cloth, container (not less than 5 l) for draining oil, 17 mm wrench, special wrench for unscrewing the oil filter.
Helpful Hints: Drain the oil after driving while the engine is still warm. If the engine is cold, start it and warm it up to operating temperature.
Fill with the same brand of oil as the oil that was in the engine. If you still decide to change the brand of oil, flush the lubrication system with flushing oil or oil of the brand that will be used. To do this, after draining the old oil, fill with flushing oil to the lower mark on the dipstick. Start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes. Drain the oil and only then replace the oil filter. Now you can fill with new oil to the required level (between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the dipstick).
Warning: Do not dump used oil on the ground.

1. Clean the engine oil pan drain plug with a wire brush and then with a cleaning cloth.

2. Unscrew the drain plug, having first placed a container underneath to catch the drained oil...
Note: The plug is sealed with a copper washer. If the washer is too tight, be sure to replace it.

3. ...and drain the oil.
Warning: Be careful, the oil is hot!
4. Screw the cap back on.

5. Use a special key to loosen the oil filter and remove it.
To unscrew the oil filter, use a special key. If you don't have such a key or a similar puller, punch the filter housing with a screwdriver and, using it as a lever, unscrew the filter. Punch the filter as close to the bottom as possible so as not to damage the nipple. You can also use a strip of coarse sandpaper folded in half, wrapping it around the filter and moving it from its place with your hands.
6. Fill the new filter 1/3 full with oil.

7. Lubricate the sealing ring with clean engine oil and screw the filter back into place (by hand without using tools) 3/4 of a turn from the moment the ring contacts the cylinder block flange.

8. Unscrew the oil filler cap.
9. Fill with new engine oil

10. Replace the oil filler cap.
11. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes (the oil pressure warning light should go out 2-3 seconds after the engine is started). While the engine is running, check for oil leaks from the drain plug and oil filter. Stop the engine, check the oil level, add oil if necessary, tighten the plug and filter.
