Perform work on an inspection pit, overpass or, if possible, on a lift.
You will need: keys "10", key "14" (preferably a cap).
1. Drain the engine oil (see "Changing engine oil and oil filter").
2. Remove the exhaust pipe (see "Replacing the inlet pipe").

3. Remove the four bolts securing the gearbox housing to the oil pan.

4. Remove the two oil pan mounting bolts located in the wells at its rear...

5. ...and thirteen bolts located on the outside.

6. Separate the oil pan from the cylinder block using a screwdriver inserted into the gap between the pan and the block bracket and remove the pan.

7. Remove old sealant from the mating surfaces of the cylinder block...

8. ...and the oil pan. Carefully wipe the oil off the mating surfaces with a rag.
Helpful advice: Do not degrease the mating surfaces of the block and crankcase before applying the sealant, just thoroughly remove the oil from them. This will ensure easy disassembly of the connection later.

9. Apply sealant to the mating surfaces and threaded portion of the oil pan mounting bolts.
10. Install the oil pan and tighten the bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern to the torque specified in Appendix 1.
11. Install all removed parts and assemblies in the reverse order of removal.
12. Fill the engine with oil.
Warning: The engine may be started no earlier than one hour after replacing the oil pan seal; this time is required for the sealant to polymerize.
