Note: The work is shown using the example of the exhaust camshaft oil seal.
You will need: all the tools needed to remove the timing drive (see "Replacing the timing belt and its tension roller"), the rear cover of the timing drive (see "Removal and installation the oil pump"), cylinder head covers (see "Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket"), as well as a screwdriver and a hammer.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to the TDC position of the compression stroke (ohm "Setting the piston of the first cylinder to the TDC position of the compression stroke").
3. Remove the cylinder head cover (see "Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket").
Note: It is necessary to remove the cylinder head cover to prevent the camshafts from turning when removing their pulleys.
4. Remove the timing belt and camshaft pulleys (see "Replacing the timing belt and its tension roller").

5. Using a screwdriver, remove the oil seal from the front camshaft bearing seat.
6. Before installing a new oil seal, inspect its working edge. It should be smooth, without tears, dents, or rubber buildup. The oil seal spring should be intact and unstretched. Lubricate the working edge with engine oil.
Helpful Hint: To make it easier to press in the seal, make a small chamfer on its seating edge using a file or fine emery wheel.

7. Install the oil seal with the working edge inside the bearing seat, carefully tuck the working edge onto the camshaft (for example, using a wooden stick) and press it in until it stops using a suitable mandrel. An old oil seal can be used as a mandrel.
8. Install all removed parts and assemblies in the reverse order of removal.
