Windscreen wiper blades (Chevrolet Orlando 1)

Contents: Types of brushes ↧ Replacing brushes ↧
Particular attention should be paid to windshield wipers, because the cleanliness of the windshield depends on their condition. Their failure, especially in cloudy weather and in conditions of poor visibility, can lead to loss of control over the road and, as a result, to an accident.

The vehicles are equipped with two front wiper blades and one rear wiper blade.

The brushes have different lengths and, accordingly, different catalog numbers:
  • left wiper arm brush - 600 mm;
  • right wiper arm brush - 480 mm;
  • rear wiper blade - 260 mm.

If cleaning requires more brush strokes and more washer fluid, or the glass is not cleaned evenly, the wiper blades must be washed with water, their working edges must be wiped with a damp cloth, or they must be replaced. As a preventative measure, we recommend replacing the brushes at least once a year.

Note: The design of the fastening may differ depending on the manufacturer and model of the brushes. To ensure that the brushes can be placed on the windshield wiper arms of different cars, they are supplied with adapters.

Types of brushes

There are three types of brushes: frame, frame winter and frameless.

Conventional frame wipers 1 are the most common, however in winter such wipers, covered with a crust of ice, lose elasticity and clean the glass worse.

The frame of the winter brush 2 is protected from water and dirt by a rubber cover, as a result such a brush is much more practical in winter, but it is significantly more expensive than conventional frame brushes.

Frameless brush 3 is free from the disadvantages of a conventional frame brush, however, due to the absence of a frame, such a brush may have lower performance compared to a frame brush.
