The most important thing when selecting spare parts is the vehicle identification number VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). In some parts, for a more accurate and correct determination of the conformity of the purchased spare parts, you will need to know additional information about the car: type of fuel supply system, type of transmission (automatic or manual transmission), chassis settings (standard or sport package), is a catalytic converter installed in the exhaust system? Is additional equipment installed on the vehicle? (for example, air conditioning, power steering, etc.)
However, after selecting a spare part, another question arises: which manufacturer to choose, because in addition to original spare parts, there are often many analogues and substitutes. The optimal choice, of course, is a part from the car manufacturer, that is, the original, but, unfortunately, this is usually also the most expensive option.
Note: It should be understood that the original spare part is often not produced by the car manufacturer itself, but is purchased from third-party specialized companies. Such parts, as a rule, have double markings: the direct manufacturer and the vehicle manufacturer. By ordering this part using the direct manufacturer's part number, you can save a lot of money without losing quality.
Analogues are usually cheaper, but there may be cases where the part may not fit a specific car due to manufacturer upgrades. In addition, if you use non-original parts, the car manufacturer does not bear any responsibility for its reliability and safety.
Warning. During the warranty period, only original spare parts must be installed on the vehicle. Otherwise, you will lose your warranty.
And most importantly, when purchasing any part, it would be a good idea to take the old, broken part with you for visual comparison. In addition, it may have a catalog number on it, which can be used to order a new one.
