Road traffic accident (Chevrolet Orlando 1)

            0

If you are involved in a traffic accident, do not panic and strictly follow the established procedure.

According to statistics, motor transport is the most dangerous and accident-prone in the world. No matter how careful and attentive a driver is, there are other drivers and pedestrians involved in traffic, whose actions can affect his safety. An accident can occur due to a vehicle malfunction, the driver's health, weather conditions, or the condition of the road surface. However, there are many "human" factors that are often neglected by drivers, but which also affect the traffic situation.

Factors that increase the risk of road accidents:
  • alcohol intoxication - most road accidents occur due to the fault of drivers who are intoxicated;
  • violation of traffic rules - speeding, failure to comply with signs and road markings;
  • distracting activities while driving - smoking, talking on the phone or with passengers, operating electronic devices (radio, navigator);
  • driver fatigue.

There is another danger on the road - to become a victim of fraudsters in a staged accident. The meaning of such an accident is that the driver of another car is forced to perform a maneuver (rebuilding, acceleration), and in the meantime they themselves are exposed to attack. Everything is done in such a way that, according to the Traffic Regulations, the fraudsters appear to be the injured party. Inexperienced and inattentive drivers, whose actions show uncertainty on the road, as well as those who like to weave from lane to lane, are specifically chosen for the role of "victim". Typically, it is a mid-size car with one driver and no passengers. The role of "victims" is usually played by presentable cars of famous brands, in order to immediately exert pressure and extort large sums of money.

Then everything develops according to a rehearsed scenario, when, under moral and psychological pressure, money is required from the "culprit" in order to resolve all issues on the spot.

In order to avoid becoming a participant in such a scam, try to constantly monitor the situation on the road. When performing maneuvers involving lane changes. keep a close eye on what is happening behind your car in your rear-view mirrors. If an accident occurs, do not let yourself be deceived and do not cower under the pressure of extortionists who are trying with all their might to force you to act in their interests. The main argument in the current circumstances is to call the traffic police officers yourself and to comply with all mandatory rules in the event of an accident (see diagram). Often, fraudsters are not tempted by a meeting with the traffic police officers and receiving insurance, and they leave the scene of the accident.

In order to avoid becoming a participant in such a scam, try to constantly monitor the situation on…

Warning. Current legislation provides for liability for persons who leave the scene of a traffic accident, which depends on the severity of the consequences.

In controversial situations, the assistance of witnesses and eyewitnesses may be needed to reflect all the circumstances of the incident. Make sure that the report describes all damage to your car, both external and possible hidden damage.

Until the appraiser's review and inspection team has made a decision, do not attempt to repair your vehicle yourself.
