Windows — electric windows (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

            0

Warning:
  • It is very dangerous to leave children, helpless adults or pets in a car with the windows closed. They may suffer from too high a temperature, become injured, or even die from heat stroke. Never leave children, helpless adults or pets locked in a vehicle, especially with the windows closed, in warm or hot weather.
  • It is forbidden to leave children in the car if the key is in the ignition. Children can turn on power windows, operate other vehicle controls, or even start the engine and drive away. This could result in injury or even death to children or people outside the vehicle.
  • Children can be seriously injured or even killed if they are in the window opening when the glass is closed.
  • If you have children in your vehicle, be sure to use the power window lock feature to prevent children from accidentally turning on the windows.

Electric windows

1. Electric window switches located on the driver's door armrest (see illustration), allow you to control all window lifts when the ignition key is in the ON or ACC position (Power supply for additional electrical equipment), or when the auxiliary power save function is enabled.

2. Each passenger door has a switch for the electric window of that door.

3. To lower the window, press the switch. To raise the glass, pull up on the front of the switch.

4. If you continue to press the switch for 3 to 7 seconds after the window has fully lowered or raised, the window will not operate for about 15 seconds.

5. The electric circuit of the window lifters is protected by an automatic circuit breaker. If the electrical circuit is overloaded, the windows will stop functioning until the electrical load is reduced to a normal level or the fault is corrected.

Express lowering function

6. The driver's and front passenger's electric windows may have an express lowering function. The windows can be partially lowered by lightly pressing the front of the switch. If you press the switch down all the way and release it, the glass will go down completely. To stop the window while it is lowering, press the front of the switch lightly. To raise the glass, pull up on the front of the switch.

Blocking electric windows

7. The power window lock button allows the driver to prevent passengers from using the windows. To disable the power window control buttons available to passengers, press the lock button. To enable the power windows, press this button again. When the passenger door electric window locking function is activated, the indicator built into the button lights up (see illustration).
