Second three-point seat belt for the rear seat with emergency locking retractor (ELR) mechanism (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Remove the bolt and remove the seat belt mount on the floor.

2. Remove the rear quarter window trim molding. See Section 9G, Interior Trim.

3. Remove the wheel arch trim panel. See Section 9G, Interior Trim.

3. Remove the wheel arch trim panel. See Section 9G, Interior Trim.

4. Unscrew the bolt and remove the seat belt fastening in the window area.

5. Remove the bolt and remove the seat belt retractor mechanism.

Installation procedure

1. Secure the seat belt retractor mechanism with the bolt.

Tighten

Tighten the seat belt retractor mounting bolt to 38 N·m (28 lb-ft).

2. Install the seat belt mount using the bolt in the window area.

Tighten

Tighten the seat belt mounting bolt to 38 N·m (28 lb-ft).

3. Install the wheel arch trim panel. See Section 9G, Interior Trim.

4. Install decorative window molding. See Section 9G, Interior Trim.

5. Install the seat belt anchor using the bolt on the floor.

Tighten

Tighten the seat belt mounting bolt to 38 N·m (28 lb-ft).
