Front seat belt buckle with tensioner (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the front seat assembly. See Section 9H, Seats.

3. Remove the screws and remove the seat belt buckle cover panel.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

5. Remove the bolt and seat belt tensioner.

Installation procedure

1. Install the seat belt buckle tensioner using the bolt.

Tighten

Tighten the seat belt buckle mounting bolt to 38 N·m (28 lb-ft).

2. Connect the electrical connectors.

3. Install the seat belt buckle cover panel with screws.

Tighten

Tighten the front seat belt buckle cover panel mounting screws to 3 N·m (27 lbs.in).

4. Install the front seat assembly. See Section 9H, Seats.

5. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
