Front seat — removal and installation (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Shown is a manual driver's seat, similar to the electrically adjustable driver's seat.

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.



2. Remove the plastic caps and bolts securing the rear of the front seat to the floor.



3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

4. Remove the seat.

Installation procedure

1. Install the seat.

2. Connect the electrical connectors.

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals may result in rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to avoid premature corrosion.

3. Install bolts into the rear of the front seat.

Tighten

Tighten the bolts securing the front seat to the floor to 45 N·m (33 lb-ft).

4. Install plastic caps.

5. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
