Front seat base (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Shown is a manual driver's seat, similar to the electrically adjustable driver's seat.

Removal procedure

1. Remove the seat back. See "Back of the front seat" in this section.

2. Remove seat trim. See "Front seat trim" in this section.

3. Remove the seat cushion bolts.

4. Remove the seat guide from the seat cushion.

Installation procedure

1. Install the cushion onto the seat guide.

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals may result in rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to avoid premature corrosion.

2. Install the seat guide to the seat cushion using the seat cushion bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the front seat cushion bolts to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

3. Install seat trim See "Front seat trim" in this section.

4. Install the seat back. See "Back of the front seat" in this section.
