Windscreen washer reservoir (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the front right wheel. See section 2E, "Tires and Wheels".



3. Remove the front wheel arch liner. See section 9R, "Front Body Part".

4. Remove the front headlight.

5. Disconnect the washer hose from the washer pump.

6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

7. Remove the bolts and the tank.

Installation procedure

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals may result in rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to avoid premature corrosion.

1. Install the tank using bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the washer reservoir bolts to 10 Nm (89 lbs.in).

2. Connect the electrical connector.



3. Connect the washer hose to the washer pump.

4. Install the front headlight.

5. Install the front wheel arch liner. See section 9R, "Front Body Part".

6. Install the front right wheel. See section 2E, "Tires and Wheels".

7. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
