Replacement wiper blade element (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Raise the wiper arm to the upper service position.



2. Remove the wiper blade replacement element by squeezing the metal tabs and pulling the end of the insert by the protrusion at the base.

Installation procedure

Note: The passenger and driver windshield wiper blades are different lengths. Make sure that the longer blade is installed on the driver's side.

1. Insert the replacement blade element into the wiper blade, starting with the tab at the base, so that the tab fits into the groove in the replacement blade element.

2. Guide the replacement wiper blade element through the blade tab sets.

Note: If the metal clip on the wiper blade insert is not fully engaged with the tab on the base, the replacement blade element may not be securely attached, which could result in damage to the windshield.

3. Press the replacement wiper blade element so that the metal tabs are fully engaged with the protrusion at the base.
