Removal procedure
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the lower engine shield. Follow section 9N, Frame and Underbody.
3. Remove the nuts that secure the battery wire terminal and the wire coming from the generator from the terminals of the starter electromagnetic relay.
4. Unscrew the bolts securing the starter to the engine cylinder block.
5. Remove the starter assembly.
Installation procedure
1. Install the starter mounting screws.
Tighten
Tighten the starter mounting screw on the engine cylinder block to 45 N·m (33.2 ft·lbs).
2. Install the starter solenoid nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to connect the battery cable to the starter solenoid relay to 15 N·m (11 ft·lbs).
